According to Italian research, your marriage can prosper, improve, flourish for every 100 metres of distance between a couple's home and that of your mother-in-law.

Now it could just be one of those quirky bits of research that we read in small print in the newspapers or there really could be something to this?

Dr Janet Hall is a psychologist that specialises in relationships and sex therapy..
